Fred Dacus graduated from Hendrix College with a degree in Business and Economics. He received Jonesboro's Outstanding Young Man Award and Outstanding Young Man of Arkansas Award. Fred is a past "Realtor of the Year" recipient and served as Past Regional Vice President for the Arkansas Realtor's Association and as Chairman of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission.

He serves on the board of the Jonesboro Industrial Development Commission (JIDC) and is a Past Board Member for Arkansas Development Finance Authority and Past Chairman of the City of Jonesboro Residential Housing and Facilities Board.

Fred and his wife, Brenda, have three children and six grandchildren.
